Coaching Philosophy
The Randy Lane Company approaches personality branding and talent development as a collaborative process that unlocks your peak creative performance whether you’re on-air, on-stage or in the boardroom.
This innovative method of coaching was inspired by Randy’s coaching mentor Timothy Gallwey (Inner Game of Tennis).
You’ll receive feedback in an honest, direct and ego preserving way so that you have ownership of your growth.
The RLC Method
Step One: Define your Personality Brand. It’s critical to define your character across all platforms, including radio, TV, online and on-site.
- What are you known for or want to be known for?
- What do you stand for?
- What are your distinctive brand characteristics?
- What is your brand promise?
- What is your brand tagline?
Step Two: Define your role and character. We use a process that’s similar to the way TV and film characters are created. Those are typically fictional characters. We’ll define your character based on who you really are.
Step Three: Evaluate your performance based on what we’ve determined to be the three universal principles of all great performances:
- HD Characters
- Killer Content
- Flawless Execution
Cohesive Teams
It’s no secret that a group of creative people often become dysfunctional. Because your team must be cohesive to perform at the highest level, The Randy Lane Company uses mediation and counseling techniques to resolve conflict. We understand both left and right brain people since we have experience as both managers and creative talent.
Our background in mediation and conflict resolution includes philosophies learned at The Artist’s Way program, The Landmark Forum and The Leadership Trust.
