Topic Idea: Office Dress Code
This Grindstone article describes some amusing, yet true, office dress codes, from the sexual harassment kind, to the controlling examples of not “wearing skirts with pockets on the back”.
The writer says that employers have a problem personally addressing the one employee who dresses inappropriately — for example, telling Sally her skirt is too short or telling Bob he needs to iron his shirt.
Set Up Ideas:
- Since people have a hard time approaching co-workers about their inappropriate dress, ask listeners to call the show and share what they wish their co-workers would stop wearing at work.
- Share what show players regularly wear to work. If anyone wears anything sloppy or revealing, or dresses too young/old for their age, call them out!
