Olympics Topic Idea: Intense Sideline Parents

 In Blog

Eighteen-year-old gymnast Aly Raisman is representing the United States in the 2012 London Olympics, but one cameraman caught the show her parents put on in the stands. They really get into watching their daughter’s performance — really, really get into it. Watch the video here. Apparently these aren’t the only parents to watch- there’s an entire Tumblr devoted to parents of Olympians.

When you played sports, were in the band, or a thespian, did your parents embarrass you from the sidelines? Discuss and let listeners share their stories.

Should parents of Olympians get a medal?
