Topic Idea: Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers
A 46-year-old school crossing guard from Boca Raton recently found $1,800 in cash dangling from the deposit slot of a drive-through ATM over the weekend. The bank was closed and no other cars were around. But instead of pinching the money and making a run for it, Allen tried to push the money back into the slot. When it wouldn’t budge, she called 911 in an effort to find the rightful owner.

Set Up Ideas:
- Play “Angel or Devil.” Ask listeners to share their stories without telling you whether they kept the money or item. Have each show player guess whether the listener was honest (angel) or not (devil).
- Have you ever been in a situation where you found cash, or some other valuable, and weren’t sure whether to keep it? Share your stories.
- At what amount would you try to return the money? Discuss among show players. Maybe for one they wouldn’t bother for $20 but for $100 they’d make an effort. For someone else it might be much higher or maybe it wouldn’t matter the amount. Try to get a consensus on right thing to do.
